Families having a hard time making ends meet; The Downtown Oakland YMCA can help. Our financial assistance program allows you and your family to enjoy YMCA membership at up to 40% less than regular rates.
If you are applying for financial assistance for the first time, you must complete the following:
• Fill out the Financial Assistance application form
• Attach two (2) pay stubs for each parent and proof of dependency for each child on the application
• Attach a copy of your most recent federal tax return
• Full-time students must attach a current class schedule
• You can drop off or mail your application and required income verification. You can also set up an appointment with Jennifer at 510.451.8039, extension 128 or Derrick at extension 183
Please note Financial Assistance is awarded on a "First Come, First Served" basis. Since our funds are limited and the demand for Financial Assistance has increased, it may take up to four weeks to process your application.
For renewals, complete the application, provide copies of the income documentation listed above and drop off at the Welcome Center.
